Baja California increases its active cases to one thousand 234 this Saturday

In the last 24 hours, 57 deaths and 314 new cases were recorded

The rise in active COVID-19 cases in Baja California continues after adding this Saturday morning one thousand 234. Due to this, the head of the Ministry of Health, Alonso Pérez Rico, confirmed that the state will remain under the red light next week.

Of this total of cases, 511 are located in Tijuana. However, the head of this agency mentioned that Mexicali remains the most affected by adding 406 and having a higher population density.

In the last 24 hours there were also 314 new COVID-19 cases registered, 118 of these in the border city, 101 in the state capital, 61 in the port of Ensenada, 14 in San Quintin, 10 in Rosarito, nine in Tecate and one in San Felipe. While of the 57 deaths also reported in this period of time, 26 occurred in Mexicali, 23 in Tijuana, five in Ensenada and three in Tecate.

With this, the accumulated positive cases in the state reached 37 thousand 117, finding the municipalities as follows: Mexicali with 14 thousand 910, Tijuana with 12 thousand 922, Ensenada with 5 thousand 420, San Quintín with one thousand 436, Tecate with one thousand 211, Rosarito with one thousand 750 and San Felipe with 468.

Of the 6 thousand 178 Baja Californians who lost their lives due to the coronavirus, 2 thousand 724 have been in Tijuana, 2 thousand 398 in Mexicali, 792 in Ensenada, 163 in Tecate, 75 in San Quintin, 21 in Rosarito and five in San Felipe.

And although among the indicators that allow Baja California to go under orange is the hospital occupation, which is 68.36 percent, the number of available beds, which as of yesterday morning was 292, as well as the Effective Reproduction Rate (the number of times the virus is transmitted), which is below one (0.79) in the region; Pérez Rico said that this panorama will not be wasted by opening up everything.
