Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz joined over 40 children from a school in the El Morro community, located at KM 38 in southern Rosarito, for a heartwarming Christmas posada (holiday gathering).
During this cheerful and festive event, the mayor handed out toys, food, and piñatas, bringing smiles and hope to the students. Additionally, with the support of Baja California's Secretariat of Fishing and Aquaculture (SEPESCA), engaging activities and educational talks were organized for the children.
"Before, our children studied under the shade of a tree. Today, we finally have a classroom where they can learn in a safe and weather-protected environment. This achievement was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of local authorities, ejidatarios (community landowners), and the community," shared Mayor Adame.
She emphasized that the new classroom—and a restroom that has already been constructed—represents just the beginning of a more ambitious initiative. The mayor is committed to ensuring legal certainty for the area and building additional classrooms to support the students' safety and well-being.
Mayor Adame Muñoz expressed her satisfaction with the progress made and reaffirmed her dedication to continuing efforts that benefit Rosarito's most underserved communities.
Through actions like these, the Playas de Rosarito City Hall demonstrates its commitment to education and the holistic development of its communities, especially those in need.
