17th “Feria del Libro Antiguo y de Ocasión” in Tijuana Brings Literary Gems to Avenida Revolución

Thanks to its location, visitors will also have the chance to explore Tijuana’s Historic Downtown.

Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana invites all locals to attend the 17th Feria del Libro Antiguo y de Ocasión (Old and Secondhand Book Fair), held in the heart of the city’s Historic Downtown on Avenida Revolución.

Accompanied by Strategic Project Coordinator Carlos Torres Torres, the Mayor visited the Book Fair last Friday, praising the wide variety of literary works available to the community.

Mayor Burgueño Ruiz emphasized the fair's importance: beyond revitalizing Avenida Revolución, it promotes reading, culture, and the preservation of Tijuana’s cultural heritage.

“We welcome these initiatives, as they greatly benefit the community. Art, culture, and education are priority pillars for this administration. That’s why these efforts matter so much—Tijuana is a shared responsibility for all of us,” he said.

During the event, Strategic Project Coordinator Carlos Torres added, “We’re thrilled because this is exactly what Mayor Burgueño has been advocating for: turning this area into a pedestrian-friendly cultural space filled with activities.”

“El Grafógrafo,” the host bookstore led by René Castillo, has made this edition of the fair unique by inviting exhibitors from both Tijuana and Mexico City to showcase a diverse collection of old and secondhand books.

The 17th Feria del Libro Antiguo y de Ocasión runs from December 13 to December 22, from 10 AM to 9 PM, at the SITT Station between 2nd and 3rd Streets. Admission is free.

Visitors to the fair will discover literary treasures, enjoy the charm of Historic Downtown, and celebrate the joy of reading while strengthening community ties and fostering spaces for connection.

City Solicitor Teresita de Jesús Balderas Beltrán and Downtown Tijuana Delegate José Luis Portillo Reyes were also present at the event.
