The newly launched "Corazones Viajeros" program, introduced by the Secretariat of Tourism, offers residents overnight stays and recreational excursions, encouraging them to step out of their homes and discover the region.
This initiative promotes social tourism, allowing Baja Californians to experience and appreciate the state's rich and diverse attractions.
As part of the program, beneficiaries will receive a $1,500 voucher, covering half of the trip's cost. Participants are responsible for paying the remaining 1,500 pesos per person per the guidelines established in May 2024.
Baja California's Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, emphasized: "'Corazones Viajeros' is our way of sharing the state's tourism, cultural, and natural heritage, ensuring that everyone has the chance to enjoy and cherish it." He also encouraged all residents to participate in the available trips.
From Tijuana, participants can join the "Sabores y Raíces" route to Valle de Guadalupe or the "Kumiai" route to Tecate, a Magical Town. In Mexicali, travelers can explore the "Disfruta San Felipe" and "Aventura y Sabor San Felipe" routes.
These trips include a two-day itinerary with a one-night stay, round-trip transportation provided by Autobuses ABC, and various activities depending on the chosen destination. Activities may include visits to wineries, museums, eco-tourism centers, archaeological sites, parks, ranches, and other state tourist attractions.
Tickets can be purchased at Autobuses ABC offices in the Central Bus Stations of Tijuana and Mexicali.
Don't miss this unique and time-limited opportunity during the December-January holiday season to explore and enjoy Baja California with Corazones Viajeros!
