The border crossing between Mexico and the United States has been closed since March 21 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This closure was made as a preventive measure to avoid an increase in the number of infections and deaths caused by this virus. The expected update on land crossing restrictions was released this Thursday.
Through the official twitter of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), it was announced that the restrictions will continue for another month after analyzing the situation and the spread of the virus in both countries.
The restrictions will be maintained in the same terms that have been developed since their implementation last March 21. It should be noted that both countries are coordinating health measures in the border region and these restrictions will be in place until October 21, 2020.
