MEXICO CITY.- Miguel Ángel Mancera, mayor of Mexico City, confirmed two deaths and sixty six people injured, as a result of the gas pipe explosion in the Children's Hospital of Cuajimalpa, Mexico City.

Mancera also informed that the president, Enrique Peña Nieto offered support from the federal government after hearing of this tragic event.
Public Safety officials still remain within the explosion area, as well as Civil Protection and Social Development who are keeping up with proper exploring. The hospital collapsed up to 75%, which makes it impossible for it to keep it running.
Regarding the gas pipe belonging to the Gas Express Nieto company, it was reported that the driver and his two assistants are now in custody and under investigation. Lastly, Pope Francis expressed his solidarity with the victims through Twitter.
