Marina del Pilar strengthens actions against gender-based violence in Baja California

CEJUM offers comprehensive assistance available 24/7

The Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda administration is currently promoting programs and strategies that provide comprehensive support to women who have been victims of violence, ensuring they never have to experience it again.

During Governor Marina del Pilar's term, the state government has intensified efforts to prevent gender-based violence through awareness programs, training, and resources.

The director of the Women's Justice Center (CEJUM), Magdalena Bautista Ramírez, underscored that information campaigns aiming to change cultural patterns and promote respect and equality have been promoted in schools, communities, and media outlets.

Governor Marina del Pilar, together with the Government of Mexico, through the National Commission to Prevent and Eradicate Violence Against Women (CONAVIM), has promoted the creation of more Women’s Justice Centers in priority zones such as Tijuana, Mexicali, and San Quintín.

Director Magdalena said that phone support lines where immediate assistance is provided and guidance for women in vulnerable situations is given have been established.

Baja Californian women who require assistance can go to CEJUM to receive immediate help from trained staff, as well as comprehensive care, legal counseling, and psychological support.

Magdalena Bautista called on people to report any violence and contribute to creating environments where all women feel valued and respected. The public's help is essential to build a fairer and more equal society.
