In a statement from SeaWorld CEO Marc Swanson, it was announced that the zoo will close its doors starting Monday, December 7, due to COVID-19 and will remain closed until Southern California zoos are allowed to reopen.
Despite the closure, SeaWorld veterinarians and animal care experts will continue to provide the animals with the same level of care. As well as their animal rescue and rehabilitation operations will continue to work, they will be a hallmark of the company.
SeaWorld closely monitors the coronavirus situation and also coordinates with public health officials. All in hopes of reopening its doors to its invaluable visitors soon.
