Although Baja California is expected to be one of the first states to emerge from the first wave of COVID-19 in Mexico, for the moment it is still ongoing in the state, where 17 thousand 981 confirmed cases were reported up to the morning of this Thursday, September 10.
According to what was presented by the Secretary of Health, Alonso Perez Rico, Mexicali is the municipality with the highest number of these cases, with 8 thousand 412, however Ensenada reported more new cases compared to the rest of the municipalities, with 66 cases.
Regarding deaths, the region registers 3 thousand 260, most of them reported in Mexicali (thousand 482), where, as in Ensenada, they had 5 new deaths due to this virus.
In addition to this panorama, the state increased its active cases to 593, of which 244 are located in Tijuana, following Ensenada, if we add its cases with those of San Quintin, while Mexicali adds its cases with those of San Felipe; explained Perez Rico.
On the other hand, the number of patients recovered in Baja California is 10 thousand 239.
