"What caught my attention the most was of how the human mind actually worked. Something that is logically intangible." In the pages of the books that Ruiz has written and collaborated in, the reader finds a breath of fresh air from the complicated times that humanity is now living in. Here you can find magic in the most unexpected places.
"Los Cuatro Acuerdos are the introduction to the life of the artist, the Toltec. Because once you change your eyes, your attention is now fixed on what's beautiful and you stop paying attention to the dramatic. You're not a victim but instead become a hero who sees all the events that are happening as obstacles to be overcome, because now you have the quality and ability to overcome them, "said Don Miguel Ruiz.
Don Miguel Ruiz is a well-known writer by readers who speak Spanish and also by readers who speak English. Especially after he appeared before the audience at the Ellen DeGeneres TV show and with Oprah. His book "Los Cuatro Acuerdos" has remained on this TV show's list as one of the all-time favorites and highly recommended.
Don Miguel Ruiz was actually born as Miguel Angel Ruiz in Guadalajara, Jalisco, in 1952. Both his mother and grandfather were healers who shared the knowledge of the ancient Toltec philosophy. Don Miguel Ruiz has also survived a heart attack, and although he later underwent a heart transplant, this setback in his health has not stopped him from his work of bringing his message around the world, and helping people understand that the changes in life are possible. So far, two of his sons have followed his path in which Jose Miguel has also written books on certain knowledge that has been in his family for generations.
"Once you learn and practice to be skeptical and you listen, you then regain respect, and with that respect you regain inner peace. You first regain peace with yourself, then peace with your family, and then with everyone else. Once you are practicing this, then what comes next is what my son, Miguel Ruiz Jr., wrote in his book which are the five levels of detachment or attachment."
Before leaving, Don Miguel Ruiz brought two pleasant thoughts into my head. First, writing about the experience of meeting him. And second, having the pleasure of hearing him say the words: "I love very, very much the beautiful city of Tijuana."
