From June 21 to 23, more than 150 breweries and 350 beers from around the world will be competing against each other in the International Beer festival at the 2013 San Diego County Fair.
Of the new features this year, the winning brewery will be crowned as the "Champion Brewery", adding onto the main title of the "Best of Show Beer".
The "Champion Brewery" award will be given to the brewery with the most points, based on the number of beers that are entered in the competition.
This event is open to all large and small breweries, who can register over the Internet with a non-refundable fee of $40 per beer with a maximum of twelve beers per company. The registration deadline is Friday, April 12, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time.
The festival entry fee is $55 per person and must be 21 and over to drink.
Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster and at the box office of the Fairgrounds beginning Saturday April 27. The San Diego County Fair will be held on Saturday June 8 to July 4.
