What is the Tijuana-Tecate Tourist Train?
This station was inaugurated in 1914 and has been used as a cargo and tourist train that initially traveled to San Diego. In the last few years, this route was reopened as a tourist attraction that operates once per month so that a longer ride can be offered.
The route goes through several important spots as it travels from Tijuana to Tecate and features cultural activities such as talks with historians, musical groups, and dances. This train departs from Estación García, located at Blvd. Simón Bolívar, and then stops at La Presa Lookout so that passengers can discover this part of the route. From there, the train goes directly to Tecate where passengers get the chance to tour the city.
