Special passes to cross through Tijuana's ports of entry will be for 24 hours on weekends: Mayor Ismael Burgueño

This measure will take place in order to generate more economic revenue for the city

The Municipal President of Tijuana, Ismael Burgueño Ruiz, revealed that special crossing passes will increase their duration to a 24-hour period, from Friday to Sunday, as a measure to generate greater economic revenue in the city and aid in its development.

He pointed out that, previously, passes were between 6 AM to 10 PM and after realizing that this schedule was not benefiting tourists staying in the city, it was decided to expand it and positively impact the economy and tourism.

In addition, the mayor of Tijuana stated that regarding passes for people who cross the border daily for their education, hours will be extended to be used twice a day from 6 AM to 10 AM and from 6 AM to 4 PM from Monday to Friday.

"This measure will be very useful to support families during their day and makes returning not difficult, because one of the rules of this framework is that you do not stay the night," he explained.

The Municipal President added that his administration is committed to create wellbeing and prosperity with applicable strategies and actions for this city's dynamics.
