In order to consolidate peace in Baja California and strengthen coordination in security matters, Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda had a meeting with the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and her security cabinet.
Accompanied by the attorney general of Baja California, Ma. Elena Andrade, the governor reaffirmed her commitment to national security strategies, focused on coordination, addressing causes, intelligence and investigation, and the strengthening of the National Guard.
"We have the support of our President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, to build lasting peace in Baja California, which is why today we participated in the Security Meeting of the Government of Mexico," Ávila Olmeda stated.
She pointed out that she will work with all federal, state, and municipal forces to comply with the strategies announced by the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection of Mexico, Omar García Harfuch, placing special focus on the city of Tijuana.
Lastly, the governor thanked the warmth, love, and support from the president to the people of Baja California and confirmed that, once a month has passed since taking office, she will visit the state to address several different important issues.
