Considered an urban oasis, the San Diego Botanic Garden has excitedly announced the 3rd edition of Lightscape. This unique and immersive experience's goal is to guide visitors through a festive world full of colorful wonders that allows one to explore the garden from a completely new perspective.

This charming, illuminated walking trail is 1 mile long and has been restored to offer spectacular views with new and colorful creative installations by international artists, plus some returning ones, as they all come to life in a night full of color and imagination.

This is an outdoors event which is why it is recommended to use proper clothes and shoes that are resistant and comfortable. In addition, one has to follow the following rules:

  • Remain on trails, pathways, and designated areas at all times.
  • Any damage, handling, or removal of plants or plant material is prohibited.
  • Do not disturb wildlife by touching, moving or feeding.
  • Bikes, scooters, skateboards, roller skates, motorized vehicles, and similar recreational items are not permitted in the Garden.
  • Confetti, balloons, drones, remote-control toys and any open flames are not permitted.
