On his first day leading the 25th City Hall of Tijuana, mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz announced the appointment of Carlos Torres Torres as new honorary head of the Coordination of Strategic Projects.
During his presentation, the mayor highlighted the importance of working together to bolster the city's development. "Improving Tijuana is everyone's responsibility and in the next few days, we will let you know all about the first strategic projects that we will be promoting," he claimed.

In this new role, he will be focused on boosting the city's emblematic spaces and developing new public spaces. The mayor also stressed that Torres decided not to receive a salary for this job, a gesture he thanked that will be appreciated as an example of his commitment to Tijuana.
"This will be an honorary position, and I will not receive any wages at all, and we will be presenting projects to transform the city. I am very grateful and, humbly, I will give it my all, my wishes, my experience to help our dear Tijuana. Let's do this!" the new honorary coordinator of Strategic Projects said on social media.
