The mayor of Tijuana, Ismael Burgueño Ruiz, began the working agenda of the 25th City Hall with the live broadcast of a historic event for Mexico: the swearing-in ceremony of Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the first female president of Mexico and flag bearer of the Fourth Transformation project.
The movement led by our current female president has bolstered the participation of women, the complete acknowledgment of their rights, of being part of the political dynamics of our country's public life.
The live broadcast took place at Municipal Palace facilities in Tijuana where members of the city council of the 25th City Hall, led by mayor Ismael Burgueño, gathered alongside government officials, civil society, military, and business representatives, and media outlets in a mood filled with excitement and applause.

"We have the first female president of Mexico, and we know she's going to do a great job. Yesterday, at the swearing-in ceremony in Tijuana, we wished her great success. We know she will continue the legacy of our former president, the teachings that he left, and the seed that he planted in our nation," Burgueño Ruiz stated.
During his speech before media outlets, the mayor presented the main outlines that will be in force during the 25th City Hall of Tijuana claiming that they will continue the pillars of the Fourth Transformation and that he will work in close coordination with the governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, and the President of Mexico.
He stressed that from the very first minute of his administration he will fulfill all the promises he made during his campaign which include issues such as security, pothole repair, mobility, reforestation, and restoration of public spaces. For example, since the very early morning of Tuesday, October 1, the first cleaning and pothole repair projects took place at the Casa Blanca and Bulevar 2000 zones.

The mayor also said that this morning the first rollcall of Municipal Police and Firefighter Department agents took place at Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection facilities where he also recognized the work that police officers and firefighters carry out. He also made a commitment to offer them dignified workspaces with specialized equipment and social security.
In addition, Ismael Burgueño made it clear that he will lead an administration that will leave its mark in the history of Tijuana with the goal of maintaining better communication and collaboration with the different levels of government, so that this border city becomes the best city in the nation.
