Municipal president-elect Ismael Burgueño presented Arnulfo Guerrero as his proposal for the position of Secretary General of Government for the 25th Municipal Administration of Tijuana. This appointment, though it still needs to be ratified by the administration, promises to provide experience to boost the development of this border city.
Guerrero León has a long professional career in public service and has a firm commitment with the wellbeing of people. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) and his academic education has been complemented by a political career that includes several different positions in municipal and state areas.
During his career, he has worked as councilor of Tijuana on three occasions; during his terms, he presided over important commissions such as Governing and Legislation, Road and Transportation, Human Rights, Migration, and Indigenous Affairs.

In addition, he was Deputy Secretary of the General Secretariat of the Government of Baja California, led by Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, where he worked as the link between the Executive Power and the State Congress.
He has a long career as a public official and has held positions such as Social Coordinator of the Eastern Coast; Deputy Secretary of Social Development of the State Government during the 2013-2015 period, and Chief of the Citizen Promotion and Participation Department in the State Attorney's General Office.
It should be noted that after Ismael Burgueño's victory in the June 2nd election, Guerrero León was involved in activities of cooperation and binational dialogue and accompanied the mayor-elect in meetings with Nora Vargas, president of the San Diego Association of Governments, and Paloma Aguirre, the mayor of Imperial Beach.
As such, it is clear that choosing Arnulfo Guerrero as General Secretary of the Government means a sure bet on his experience and career, as he has a commitment to contributing to the growth and wellbeing of Tijuana.
