Governor Marina del Pilar highlights achievements of Andrés Manuel López Obrador during 6th Government Report

Millions of people have benefited thanks to the social programs by the president of Mexico, according to the Baja Californian governor

During the 6th Government Report by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, highlighted as proof of the progress of this "consciousness revolution" that at least 9.5 million Mexicans have been lifted out of poverty thanks to the application of Mexican humanism that always puts people who need it the most first.

Seated alongside president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and thousands of people at El Zócalo in Mexico City, Marina del Pilar emphasized that significant achievements such as lifting 100,000 Mexicans out of poverty each month are possible thanks to a vision of social justice and an administration based on honesty and construction of peace.

"It is an honor to be with Obrador, it is an honor to accompany him in this fight, it is an honor to be a part of this movement, the biggest movement right now. A movement of men and women, of the people and for the people where seniors, people with disabilities, young people, and single mothers have been the main focus so that they can have more opportunities," the governor said.

The governor recalled some of President López Obrador's initiatives that have benefited Baja California such as reducing by 50% the Value-Added Tax (IVA) and the Income Tax (ISR) in Mexico's northern border and lowering gas prices to benefit everyone's economy.

Ávila Olmeda also thanked the initiative of the foreign car regularization decree that provided stability to families in the border region and guaranteed for them their assets; these resources were used to pave streets in all municipalities.

Regarding president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum, the governor claimed that she will continue to work hand in hand with the federal government and described her as an advocate of freedom, equality, justice, democracy, and sovereignty, underscoring her experience and knowledge regarding the pillars of the Fourth Transformation movement.

Lastly, Governor Marina del Pilar stated that she felt proud and moved of witnessing this historic federal government that has increased social trust by 132%, due to it getting rid of corruption and serving the people in an authentic democracy, as revealed by President Andrés Manuel.
