Mexico's most important handicraft event has announced its return to Playas de Rosarito from Friday, September 6 to Monday, September 9 at Centro de Convenciones Baja California Center.
Expo TlaquepArte showcases a great assortment of products, including gastronomy that highlights the diversity and wealth of Mexican cuisine, especially from regions such as Oaxaca that are currently offering their highest quality products.
This event brights together more than 200 exhibitors and artisans all gathered in one place. Admission is free and these are some of the products that you'll find here:
Mezcal
Hearing the name of this drink takes us back to Oaxaca as it is a product made from agave, 100% handcrafted and whose origin is from pre-Hispanic Mexico.
At Expo TlaquepArte, you'll find mezcal creams with delicious flavors such as pistachio, pine nuts, almond, coconut, or cajeta.
You'll also be able to purchase mezcal juice, made from a mix of grape and cranberry.
Mole
One of Mexico's most representative and classic dishes is, without a doubt, mole. It has been made since the pre-Hispanic era and it has strong historic connotations.
Puebla native exhibitors will offer traditional mole with almonds and there will be many options that include sesame seeds, fruits, chocolate, and nuts.
Salsas
Mexican salsas are more than a simple garnish: they are the essence of Mexico's gastronomy, and there is a great diversity of flavors and styles that you'll find in almost any Mexican dish.
Prepare to try a variety of salsas made with dry fruit, seeds, and even the powerful habanero chili pepper. There's something for every taste!
Traditional Sweets
Mexico's traditional sweets will delight children and adults and at Expo TlaquepArte you'll find candy such as obleas, ate, dulce de leche, glorias, cocadas, and alegrias!
Cheese
At Expo TlaquepArte, you'll find a variety of cow and goat cheese, 100% handcrafted from Puebla and Oaxaca: the perfect ingredient for any meal!

A stage full of culture, diversity, and handicrafts!
This handicraft event will gather a total of 200 exhibitors from 16 countries from all over the world including Peru, Colombia, India, Turkey, Russia, Indonesia, Egypt, among others. They will offer a great variety of products, handicrafts, jewelry, costume jeweler, textiles, hats, leather items, liquors, coffee, and sweets, all under the same roof and at very attractive prices.
In addition, artisans and exhibitors from several states of the country will participate. This means that you'll find Mata Ortiz ceramics from Chihuahua, boxes from Olinalá, Guerrero, silver from Taxco, Yucatan shirts, ceramics and clothes from Jalisco, handicrafts from Baja California, among other products.

This 4-day event will take place from Friday, September 6 to Monday, September 9, at the Convention Center Baja California Center in Playas de Rosarito, located in Carretera Escénica Tijuana – Ensenada Ejido No.1029.
Expo TlaquepArte will take place from 10:30 AM to 7 PM. Admission is free and it is a family friendly event.
