Mayor Montserrat Caballero supervises construction work at Macroplaza pedestrian bridge in Tijuana

5,000 pedestrians and 60,000 cars in both directions travel in this area every day

The Montserrat Caballero Ramírez administration has allocated more than 27 million pesos for the construction of a pedestrian bridge near Macroplaza shopping mall, an area where around 60,000 vehicles and 5,000 people travel in every day.

While supervising this project's progress, the mayor supervised this work which will help to improve citizen mobility through this main road that will also benefit 110,000 residents, especially students.

Accompanied by the head of the Secretariat of Territory, Urban, and Environmental Development (SDTUA), Enrique Bautista Corona, the mayor went to Bulevar Manuel J. Clouthier, Río Tijuana, Río 3rd stage, to make sure that the project is following construction rules.

According to standards of quality, this bridge has a declining ramp for people with motor disability, which reaffirms this government's position on inclusive public policies.

In this project, which is being carried out thanks to this administration's healthy finances, is being built with a steel and concrete structure and there will be stairs on both side of the bridge so that a pedestrian has two options.

The mayor claimed that, just a few weeks before her administration ends, she is keeping another promise, one that has been requested by people who use these roads on their daily life for over 10 years.
