Governor Marina del Pilar claims that Otay II Port of Entry and Elevated Viaduct in Tijuana will be ready in a few months

Progress of these projects that will bring change to the city were presented

The governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, visited the Otay II Port of Entry and the Elevated Viaduct in the municipality of Tijuana to learn about the progress these important federal projects that will boost mobility, economic development, and people's quality of life have made.

The state governor visited and toured both projects, accompanied by General Brigadier Raúl Manzano Vélez of the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA), who are the ones building these projects by order of the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The governor stressed that these two great projects are today a reality thanks to the support of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador who allocated the necessary resources so that SEDENA could work to build this vital infrastructure.

The wellbeing of people is a priority for this government which is why they are offering a new road that will take the pressure off other routes, make traveling times shorter, decrease traffic, and allow people to enjoy time with their family, Ávila Olmeda added.

General Brigadier Raúl Manzano Vélez, head of both projects, said that the Otay II Port of Entry, which is being built at the Otay Industrial zone, has made a progress of 86.41% and will have road facilities of 314,000 meters and a road access distributor of around 2,895 meters.

The Elevated Viaduct, which is estimated to welcome 300,000 vehicles every day, has a physical progress of 51% and it will allow for a shorter route that will connect Bulevar Aeropuerto with the San Ysidro Port of Entry, Avenida Internacional, and the entrance to Playas de Tijuana.

People who joined the governor included the Secretary of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territory Redesign, Arturo Espinoza Jaramillo, and the Secretary of Economy and Innovation, Kurt Ignacio Honold Morales, who were also witnesses of these works' development.
