"Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience" was rated as one of the 12 best immersive experiences in the world by CNN. This exhibition, which started its Mexico tour in cities like Merida, Culiacan, Guadalajara, and Mexico City, will arrive in Mexicali very soon.

Awarded as the best immersive experience of 2021 by USA Today, this interactive art exhibit was designed to stimulate all of your senses.

What is the tour like at "Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience"?

During the tour, visitors will be able to discover how Vincent Van Gogh discovered painting, what were his studies, how he found his artistic style, and the letters he wrote to his brother Theo, to whom he wrote more than 650 letters, many of them several pages long.

This is a new way to enjoy Van Gogh paintings and immerse yourself in these artworks through a 360° digital show, where the artist's works can be seen on the ceiling and on the floor, complemented by separate galleries that explore his biography, technique, and influence through informative panels, actual-sized recreations, and interactive activities.

In this exhibition, all elements come to life, accompanied by sound effects, music, video mapping, and much more, making it an impressive sensorial experience.

Among the artworks you can find here, there will be: Starry Night (1889), Starry Night Over the Rhône (1888), Sunflowers (1888), and Self-Portrait (1889). The tour takes approximately from 75 to 90 minutes.

Virtual reality: “A Day in the Life of the Artist”

Walking alongside Van Gogh is possible thanks to virtual reality: through "A Day in the Life of the Artist", you can travel and discover the inspiration behind 8 of his iconic paintings.

Visitors will be able to take this 10-minute journey to explore the universe of Van Gogh and explore his life and work through digital projections.

When will the "Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience" be available?

This exhibition combines art, history, and state-of-the-art technology to take spectators on a journey through a multi-sensory experience.

If you wish to explore the world of Van Gogh, you will be able to do it from October 11 to January 11, 2025 at CEART Mexicali facilities.

  • General admission ticket from Monday to Friday: $350 pesos ($18 dollars)
  • General admission ticket on Saturdays and Sundays: $450 pesos ($23 dollars)
  • General admission ticket + virtual reality from Monday to Friday: $450 pesos ($23 dollars)
  • General admission ticket + virtual reality on Saturdays and Sundays: $550 pesos ($28 dollars)
