Tijuana

Total chaos reported at San Ysidro port of entry this Monday morning

More than 500 cars were in line waiting to cross

Tijuana has a big advantage by being next to San Diego as citizens with visas and migration documents can visit the US frequently, however, sometimes waiting in line can take a long, long, long time and this is what actually happened on Monday, August 19.

More than 5 hours to cross the San Ysidro Port of Entry

On social media, users shared that long lines were happening at the San Ysidro port of entry in Tijuana in the early morning of Monday where it moved at a very slow pace.

Comments from several different posts shared that some people had been waiting to cross since 03:30 AM, which means they were in line for more than 5 hours at the port of entry's vehicle lanes.

Telnor's phone report says that the port of entry had 30 open gates, and the Ready Lane had 500 vehicles in line, with the pedestrian crossing at the Otay Port of Entry showing the same number of pedestrians.

Some people were stuck in the long line for so long that they decided to leave and go to the Otay Mesa port of entry, as it had a smaller waiting time and a speedier vehicular traffic flow.
