Mayor-elect Ismael Burgueño stated on Thursday, August 1, before his meeting with the current mayor of Tijuana, Montserrat Caballero, at the Municipal Palace, that there are things that he wishes to do, that are still dreams of his, once he becomes the leader of the city's Municipal Administration.
Some of his main projects that he underscored during his conference are that he wants to build the first municipal university in the Eastern Zone and invest resources to improve this area of the city.
Ismael Burgueño said that this is an issue that he will talk about with the administration and state and federal authorities, as their main goal is to bet on education, arts, and culture.
In addition, he spoke about another initiative he hopes to accomplish: a tourism walkway at the historic Avenida Revolución in Downtown Tijuana. Lastly, he talked about the need to build parks, take care of green areas, paint huge murals, and make of Tijuana a clean city.
