A 54-year-old man identified as Vicente "N" was arrested by Municipal Police authorities for being the alleged perpetrator of sexually assaulting a young 19-year-old woman.

This occurred when municipal agents went to Colonia Ciudad Jardín, after receiving a report of a fight between two individuals, and found the two men struggling against each other in the streets.

One of the individuals was the father of the victim as his daughter had asked for his help after the taxi driver veered off his route, parked the car in an empty nearby lot, and leaped on to touch her without her consent.

The daughter told her father that she screamed asking for help and, with some effort, she was able to get out of the car of the Mirador-Jardin-Centro route, called her father, and locate her assailant.

With support from the Municipal Police, Vicente "N" was arrested and turned over to the proper authorities.

Meanwhile, the victim and her mother received guidance about how to proceed regarding filing a report.

The Secretariat of Security calls on all women to download the Botón Morado app in case of any emergency to make responses by authorities much easier.
