Drones help to catch thieves of an OXXO store in Tijuana

Aerial security devices have helped to catch these thieves

With help from an aerial security device through the Unit of Drones of the Secretariat of Municipal Public Security, two individuals allegedly involved in self-service store robberies were arrested.

This arrest took place on Tuesday afternoon when a citizen reported to authorities about a robbery with violence taking place at an OXXO store in Colonia Libertad.

As such, operation groups of the Municipal Police carried out a land and air operation to locate the people responsible.

Thanks to these technological "birds", the thieves were located driving in a motorcycle. They were followed and then arrested at Calle Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez.

The detainees were Juan de Dios "N" and Jesús Alberto "N", both 18 years of age, who tried to escape in a white Italica motorcycle with plate number 85FFG8, which had an orange cover with the label Didi.

When they were surrounded, both individuals tried to flee by hiding themselves among the houses and the area's desolated areas, but they were located by the drones and arrested.

After they were captured, part of what was stolen was recovered and the individuals were turned over to the State's Attorney General Office so the investigation can proceed.

According to intelligence information, these people identified as "Los Morros", could be related to at least 10 OXXO store robberies.
