Enjoy the authentic gastronomy of Baja California! Festival del Pescado y Marisco comes back to Playas de Rosarito

COTUCO Rosarito invites everyone to enjoy this event, which brings together some of the region's best restaurants and wineries

Fans of gastronomy, fine wine, and music will see their dreams come true at the classic Festival del Pescado y Marisco (Fish and Seafood Festival) taking place at the Rosarito Beach Hotel on Saturday, August 3rd.

COTUCO Rosarito invites everyone to this amazing event, which offers an opportunity to explore Baja California's delicious gastronomy and enjoy the authenticity and freshness of each dish.

This festival takes place every year and its goal is twofold: to promote the state's gastronomic diversity as a tourism attraction and support local economic development, especially in the fishing industry.

Around 20 restaurants will participate in this incredible gastronomic event. Some of the standout participants include: Chabert's Restaurant at Rosarito Beach Hotel, Máxico, Aroma del Valle, Hacienda de Badú, Los Portales de García, La Palapa at Hotel Las Rocas, Enraizada, Restaurante Calafia under the supervision of Chef Mario Peralta, La Casa de la Langosta in Puerto Nuevo, Xantina Brunch & Bistro, and many more!"

Get ready to enjoy an assortment of gastronomic offerings such as ceviche, cocktails, cooked shrimp, oysters, clams, and tilapia! Best of all, you will have the chance to try the traditional and delicious Puerto Nuevo lobster, one of Rosarito's most exquisite delicacies.

The event will begin with a tasting from 3 PM to 5 PM followed by the sale of various dishes accompanied by a selection of regional wines.

Wines from L.A. Cetto, Finca, Tré, Vinícola Xolo, and Bodegas F. Rubio will be an integral part of the evening. In total, 17 wineries will be participating at this event!

Meanwhile, Big Mountain, the American reggae band known for hits such as "Baby, I Love Your Way", which became a top 10 hit single in the 1990s, will be performing live at this event as they pay tribute to reggae legend Bob Marley.

One of the most anticipated moments of the event will be the fish and seafood competition. This contest features chefs competing to impress a panel of judges that includes members of the Secretariat of Fishing and Aquaculture and the renowned traditional cook Josefina Sánchez, chef of Hacienda de Badú restaurant."

Attendees will be able to vote for their favorite dish through a QR Code that will take them to an app allowing them to participate in the special "People's Choice" category. This edition will also feature a special prize sponsored by Saladitas Gamesa.

It should be noted that awarded restaurants will receive a prize crafted by a local artisan.

Festival del Pescado y Marisco is a family-friendly event and children 12 or younger will be admitted for free.

While one must be of legal age to enjoy wine tastings, visitors of all ages will be able to enjoy any dish they desire!

Presale tickets are now available for $750 pesos ($43 dollars)! On the day of the event, tickets will be $950 pesos ($54 dollars). Admission includes ten gastronomic samples, five wine tastings, a commemorative glass, and access to the event's artistic and musical program.

"Having a good time can also save a child's life", because visitors will be contributing to Fundación Bebé Cardio AC. Part of the proceeds from this event will support children with heart disease who lack the resources for treatment.

Festival del Pescado y Marisco will take place at the Rosarito Beach Hotel & Spa located in Boulevard Benito Juárez 31, Zona Centro, in Playas de Rosarito, B.C.
