One of the state's most awaited events, Expo Turismo Tijuana y La Mega Región is back! This event has become one of the most important local events as it promotes the cultural, sports, gastronomic, and natural wealth of Baja California.
This free event will take place on Avenida Revolución and approximately 100 stands, representing several municipal and business sectors, will participate.
Several different regional tourism experiences will be showcased here such as the tours through the Wine Route in Valle de Guadalupe, adventure tourism offered in Playas de Rosarito, and visits to ranches and health resorts.
This event will take place on Saturday, July 13 from 10 AM to 8 PM and visitors will be able to enjoy the cultural, gastronomic, sports, artistic, and real estate offers made here. Admission is free and it is a family friendly event.
What to expect from "Expo Turismo Tijuana y la Mega Región"?
In a press conference that took place on Thursday, July 4 at the Taco Museum in Tijuana, business representatives and municipal and state authorities explained that each city will showcase their best tourism attractions, from outdoor activities to gastronomic offerings. Travel agencies, tourism operators, hotels, and airlines will also participate.
Volaris will raffle trips of their new Tijuana-Las Vegas route; Skydive Baja will raffle a chance to parachute; and Baja Travesies will raffle access to the Baja 100, a 3-day hike that traverses the Baja California peninsula. This is an example of how the business community is joining this event to make the experience even more interesting.
In addition, more than 60 local artists will participate in this event and this includes solo singers, rock groups, and folkloric dance performances.
Don't miss the chance to also enjoy La Guelaguetza, a Oaxacan tradition, the 21st edition of the Opera in the Streets Festival, and the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Caesar salad.
In an interview, the president of COTUCO Rosarito, César Rivera González, said that they will set up a special pavilion to showcase the real estate, surfing, gastronomy, and ecotourism offerings in Playas de Rosarito.
He also mentioned that these events are crucial for promoting tourism in the region, as there are high expectations for significant economic revenue. As an example, he cited a 95% occupancy rate in Playas de Rosarito hotels this weekend due to Independence Day celebrations in the United States.
Gastronomy, promotions, discounts, recreational activities, and much more!
Expo Turismo Tijuana y la Mega Región is also a window to the world of local gastronomy. Here you will delight yourself with the cooking of chefs and the tasting of craft beer, wine, and mixology, while also enjoying the several different establishments and businesses located in Avenida Revolución.
César Rivera expects a very enthusiastic participation of visitors in games and activities, as this will allow them to win gifts for future events, and explained that COTUCO Rosarito is offering discounted and exclusive fees during this Expo which will be valid throughout the year.
This will be an incredible opportunity because amazing events are coming including the Rosarito Beer Fest on July 20 at Hotel Las Rocas and the Festival del Pescado y el Marisco (Fish and Seafood Festival) on August 3.
COTUCO Rosarito is inviting everyone to visit their pavilion at Expo Turismo Tijuana y la Mega Región 2024 to learn about the Baja Beach Fest music festival and more than 45 additional scheduled amazing events.
The diversity in tourism and recreational options that this mega region offers is a reflection of the cultural and natural wealth of Baja California.
