BestLife recommends which items you should never buy at Costco

A survey has revealed which products are not that high-quality in Costco

Costco is one of people's many favorite places for shopping and though some items are amazing, some are not recommended due to their low quality. BestLife made a survey for retail experts where they revealed data about which products you should definitely not buy in Costco.

Products that BestLife recommends not to buy

  • Any items whose brand is not Kirkland Signature

There are several famous brands that sometimes people look out for as a first option, however, experts agree that Kirkland Signature is the best instead of other pricier options.

  • Rotisserie Chicken

Renowned chef David Chang has rated this chicken as "the worst" and claimed that they are not good and not seasoned. In addition, "Mercy for Animals" asked the company to sign the "Better Chicken Commitment" that establishes standards for animal wellbeing and Costco did not sign it.

  • Over-the-counter medication

The great amount of medication at a reasonable price can be attractive, but if the medicine is only taken by one person it could expire before all of it is used.

  • Condiments

Buying giant bottles of mustard, mayo, and ketchup is not the best idea. According to this survey, big sizes tend to lose flavor even before being opened and their storage takes up a lot of space.

  • Canned Goods

Experts claim that it is best to buy canned goods at your local supermarket, as they tend to be cheaper and unless you work at a restaurant, nobody needs 20 cans of beans.

  • Electronics

Manufacturers tend to make deals with big warehouses to create exclusive versions and sell them at low prices, but their models can lack key characteristics.

  • Skincare and Makeup

Many beauty products have a short useful life that ranges between 6 months to 1 year, and then they expire.

Most of these recommendations are about price products, however, expiration dates are also a key aspect to consider.
