Baja California will exceed temperatures of 104°F during Mexico's third heat wave

Some states will experience temperatures higher than 113°F!

The National Commission of Water (CONAGUA) revealed an update about the third heat wave that is currently occurring in Mexico, highlighting the increase of temperatures in some areas of the country.

According to weather authorities, the most affected states will be those who will experience maximum temperatures of 45°C (113°F), among them there are Campeche, Chiapas, Guerrero, Michoacán, Morelos, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, and Veracruz.

Baja California is one of the states that will experience intense heat with temperatures that will exceed 40°C (104°F), alongside Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Colima, Durango, and Guanajuato.

Currently, days in Baja California have been mostly cool, which could become extremely hot in the afternoon.

According to this weather forecast, skies will remain partially cloudy, with winds from the west and northwest of 15 to 25 km/hour and gusts of wind of 40 to 60 km/hour and dust clouds.

Other regions in the north such as Hidalgo, Jalisco, Nayarit, northern and southwestern Puebla, northern Querétaro, Quintana Roo, Sonora, and Yucatán will also experience temperatures higher than 40°C.

On the other hand, the southwest of the State of Mexico will experience temperatures between 35°C and 40°C, while Aguascalientes and Mexico City will have temperatures between 30°C to 35°C.

Due to these extreme weather conditions, authorities issued a series of recommendations for people which have been listed down below:

-Avoid extended sun exposure
-Keep yourself hydrated
-Assist people with chronic diseases, minors, and seniors
-Use sunscreen
-Cover your arms and face from the sun as long as you can
