On Monday, March 11, repair work was concluded for the sinking incident at Vía Rápida Poniente, at the level of Puente Negro. For these repairs to be concluded, 65 hours of continuous work had to be carried out.
As part of the results of the surveillance and monitoring of the city to prevent driving risks, staff of the Secretariat of Territory, Urban, and Environmental Development (SDTUA) worked uninterrupted to repair these damages caused by vandalism.

Through the Municipal Agency of Projects and Urban Infrastructure (DOIUM), the slab and drainage pipes where the fire took place were repaired. This is the most common cause of sinkholes.
The road was partially closed in an area of 300 eastbound lineal meters. This space was cordoned off with concrete walls for the security of drivers and proper signs regarding alternate roads were installed to clear the area's traffic.
During these works, the flow of Vía Rápida Poniente was moved to Vía Lenta with continuous flow to free the work area so that the road could be incorporated once again as normal 300 meters ahead.
Regarding the lane at Vía Lenta, drivers were incorporated into Bulevar Rodolfo Sánchez Taboada so that they could later be redirected towards Bulevar Federico Benítez where drivers chose the routes to come back to Vía Lenta.
