Governor Marina del Pilar ensures assistance for people affected by rain in Baja California

Several institutions will assist affected families in the state

Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, the governor of Baja California, revealed that they are providing comprehensive assistance to people affected by the recent rainfall that occurred in the state by delivering 49,195 supplies such as blankets, mats, and basic baskets. These actions are being carried out by the Secretariat of Wellbeing led by Juan Francisco Garza Ceseña.

The state governor pointed out that on Tuesday, January 23, 42 neighborhoods where 1,200 families lived were assisted. These families received more than 4,000 supplies through the "Casa Fuerte" program which will allow them to repair what is necessary after the storm.

In addition, she explained that the Secretariat of Wellbeing will help all cases and will carry out the proper censuses. In addition, several water operating agencies are also helping people in the seven municipalities in order to address all reports related to leaks and supply issues.

For example, at Fraccionamiento Ribera del Bosque several agencies of the government, such as the Secretariat of Wellbeing, SIDURT, and the Secretariat for the Management, Treatment, and Protection of Water, are aiding through several different actions. These institutions are working together with municipal authorities.

Marina del Pilar stated that precise instructions have been given to the Secretariat of Finance so that the necessary resources are used due to the rain. The priority is that administrative processes are fast and that resources are applied immediately to benefit affected people.

Simultaneously, the Institute of Physical Education Infrastructure of Baja California will carry out community rounds in order to identify issues such as leakages, floods, damages to walls, shedding of covers, softening of materials, drainage problems, fallen trees, and electrical problems, all of which will be addressed immediately to guarantee the wellbeing of Baja Californian students.
