Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda led the launch of the Corredor Agua Caliente route in Tijuana which was inaugurated with 31 vehicle units from more than a hundred that will be used in this area and will travel through Agua Caliente and Gustavo Díaz Ordaz Boulevards with an electronic payment system. These actions are part of a public strategic policy to improve mobility in Baja California and reorder public transportation.

Marina del Pilar thanked the support from the mayor of Tijuana, Montserrat Caballero Ramírez, for making progress in a project that is looking to transform the way in which the people of Tijuana move in the city.

"Here, in this essential artery of our city, begins the mobility transformation."

The state governor highlighted the progress regarding transformation in Tijuana, through the reordering of transportation with the use of technology and intervention in public spaces as part of the RESPIRA program.

Marina del Pilar highlighted the permanent dialogue she holds with drivers of this project, who had joined it with the clear intention of improving the quality of life of people in the city.

For his part, the director of the Institute of Urban Sustainable Mobility of Baja California, Jorge Alberto Gutiérrez Topete, stated that the route begins in Downtown Tijuana and ends at the La Presa Abelardo L. Rodríguez area. He emphasized that people will be able to pay these rides with an electronic card soon.

The state official also stated that besides the main route, there will also be supportive routes where everyone is included in order to provide transportation to all areas of Tijuana according to what citizens have reported they need to authorities.
