Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) is looking to make its leaders work together for the 2024 electoral process. This was requested by businessman and national delegate, David Saúl Guakil, who says that any platform can be useful to benefit society, as long as there is a vocation to work and a clear strategy to face several different issues.

During a friendly lunch, led by state coordinator Bertha Sánchez Lara, attended by leaders of the orange party of the seven municipalities of the state, and with the presence of the national secretary of Círculos Ciudadanos, Alfonso Vidales, and national commissioner, Jacobo Chega, representing senator Dante Delgado, Guakil called on for unity in the orange family of Baja California.

He said that everyone should row at the same speed and move forward so that the party is known among the population, because "those who don't vote for us don't do it because we are a corrupt party or because of a bad image, but because they don't know us." As such, he added, "We are the only party that in the last federal electoral process grew by one million new votes."

He also said that nominations are not gifted here. Instead, they work with a clear idea that benefits all citizens and "that's why we are the party that goes out to the streets and listens to the people" to create clear proposals to citizens’ demands that they will carry out together to benefit our country, our state, and our city.

It is time to work together, with no tricks, with everyone rowing forward. Those who want to row backwards "could be my friends, but are not part of this table," emphasized David Saúl Guakil, suggesting that, starting now, a series of biweekly meetings will take place in order to evaluate the work done and establish new meetings to position ourselves in the minds and desires of citizens with the objective being the 2024 electoral process.

We need to use social media to take our message to citizens, but also to knock on doors. Go out to the streets and go to neighborhoods so that our brand is known. We cannot do that alone, we need to unite like the family that we are. We need to work a lot during these following 10 months and we are going to make it, he highlighted.

The politician said that as a businessman, he will never partake in impossible projects, but to achieve excellent results by Movimiento Ciudadano in the state is indeed possible, and "that's why I'm here," he said. He announced that in Baja California "we will be the tip of the spear" as a movement nationwide during the next elections.

During the event, which took place at the Cosmopolitan building, Alfonso Vidales and Jacobo Chega also spoke. Vidales spoke about empowering citizens through causes, and not through needs as traditional parties tend to do, which creates a type of cronyism which means a membership in exchange for freedoms.

In MC, we are in favor of citizen freedom, which is what Dante Delgado came up with in Círculos Ciudadanos and it is a method that has allowed us to win positions. That's how we won the governorship in Nuevo Leon, he pointed out.

Chega spoke about the three essential factors to win electorally: excellent candidates, clean, honest, and capable; successful campaigns through social activism, and taking care of citizens' votes during elections. These three elements will be completely resolved, once the moment arrives.

The president of the state council, Alcibiades García Lizardi, said that in MC, disagreements are welcome as they eventually end up in agreements. He said that David Saúl Guakil has become an important actor that has been able to define, as a national delegate, a clear route where everyone is included. He has also positioned the orange movement as an exceptional political force in regards to the electoral process that will take place next year.

During this orange meal, where there were comments that Guakil could become the MC candidate for federal senator, the following people were present: general state secretary, Javier Hernández Tovalín, and municipal operation coordinators led by host Miguel Medrano of Tijuana, Jacqueline Bátiz Arce of San Quintín, Armando Díaz Hoeflich of Ensenada, Erica Ortiz Inzunza of Playas of Rosarito, Francisco Barraza Chiquete of Mexicali, and Tanairy Hernández Mayoral of San Felipe.

In addition, the following people were also present: local representatives and MC councilors from the Baja Californian local administrations where there is representation, the municipal coordinator of Tecate, federal representative Zulema Adams who sent a representative, as she is out of town due to Congress business, and senator Alejandra León Gastélum.
