On social media, a video has been making rounds where one can see how an individual outside his car asks a driver to get out of his vehicle, in what appeared to be a routine checkup.

This incident occurred at Calle Misión Santo Tomás in Colonia Capistrano Infonavit. The driver says, during his call to the 911 line, that these supposed officers did not have the official state police credentials of the agency they claimed to belong to.

In the video, one can see that the driver, of what seems to be an Uber vehicle, is stopped by these "state officials" who ask him to get off the vehicle. However, the driver refuses to do so and dials 911.

I’m not getting out, son, you don’t even have a police car… supposedly they are state officers (the driver tells the 911 operator), the vehicle has no labels and it has no lights.

These incidents seem to be part of a new extortion attempt by individuals pretending to be police officers or state agents. The video ends with the supposed police vehicle leaving, after they were unable to make the car’s owner get out of his car.

In this recording, one can hear the individual say that these supposed officers tore off the back license plates of their car and then fled.

So far, no security agencies of the city have made any statements about this video.
