Tijuana has welcomed 2023 with the best attitude despite the weather on New Year’s Eve which included rain, strong wind, and very cold temperatures. This Monday, the port of entry was also a source of joy for travelers as there was practically no line to get into the United States.

The first Monday of 2023, surprised many as the San Ysidro port of entry had practically empty lines, which means whoever wished to cross into the United States could do so directly. This occurred approximately at 7 AM.

It should be noted that though Monday did begin in this manner, waiting times can always be uncertain as by noon, the lines started filling up little by little, including pedestrian lines which have a higher number of people.

According to reports by the users of Facebook group “Cómo está la Línea San Ysidro y Otay”, the San Ysidro port of entry vehicular Ready Lane goes all the way to Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) with a fluid flow whose waiting time is approximately one hour. Meanwhile, the pedestrian line has now a second line and is still increasing.
