The Marina del Pilar administration has distinguished itself, one year since it took office, as one of the administrations with the best performance, not only in Baja California in the last few years, but in all of Mexico.
Pollster Massive Caller has ranked the governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar, as the Governor of 2022, with the best approval rating percentage of 58.9%. In addition, it should be stated that this percentage has always kept itself in the first few places. For example, in the last few months, from August to December (with the exception of October as there was no poll), the governor’s approval rating average was always above 50%.
It should be said, to be fair, that Marina del Pilar being named the best leader of Mexico is not for free. Her administration has distinguished itself for being an inclusive government, which constantly supports the most vulnerable people including the children and teenagers of Baja California. Since her arrival, she has kept a close relationship with the people of Baja California even during the time when she was pregnant.
Week after week, she travels through the municipalities of Baja California to personally supervise the progress of projects which were at some point campaign promises and are now fulfilled realities.
Among the most outstanding facts of the current governor are that she paid the historic debt that the state had with the teacher’s union, which had increased to $3 billion pesos, and had also been ignored by previous administrations.
These actions have been enough for the Baja Californian people to trust in Marina del Pilar day after day. On the other hand, she has also managed to put Baja California as one of the states in Mexico with the lowest pay gaps and the most equal opportunities for men and women. Regarding health matters, she has covered the needs of the population through new projects which include the construction of new health centers, as well as vaccination programs and medical care.
A few days ago, for example, she announced the creation of a new General Hospital in Tijuana, which will be located in the eastern Zone of the city and will treat more than 750,000 inhabitants who live in one of the areas with the highest populational growth and with the most needs.
One should recall that Baja California has gone through a rough period, due to disastrous past administrations, where the health and financial sectors were neglected to such a degree that there were no medications in the state, the potable water system was completely forgotten, and insecurity was off the charts for Baja Californians.
These situations, which seemed impossible to resolve in such a short time, are what Governor Marina del Pilar has worked on consistently. These actions are the reason why she was named the best governor of Mexico and, undoubtedly, one of the most exemplary women in the country.
