Baja Californian Governor Marina del Pilar leads the delivery of 400 title deeds at RAN

This will provide certainty to families’ properties

The governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, alongside the government of Mexico, led the delivery of 400 title deeds at the National Agrarian Registry (RAN) for property owners and community residents of the seven municipalities of Baja California, which provides certainty to families’ properties.

“What we are providing today for these families is precisely an act of social justice, of social rights. The agrarian right is one of the most noble that exists,” she stated and added that these deeds also represent relief for these families who won’t have to go through strenuous and tedious processes at public offices.

In her speech, the state governor pointed out that a priority of her administration has been to focus on the people and their needs while following the principles of the Fourth Transformation, which have been promoted by the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. For that, state authorities have had a close coordination with mayors, heads of the foundational municipal councils of San Quintin and San Felipe, and people at large.

“It is very clear to me that one of the main challenges that we have, the most important social challenge that we have as a state government, is the land issue, the regularization of land,” Marina del Pilar underscored.

For his part, the head of the Commission of Agrarian Issues of the Mexican Senate, José Narro Céspedes, recognized the governor for accompanying the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, in his fight to transform the country and create an environment full of equality, justice, and peace for all people.

In his intervention, Narro Céspedes reflected on the importance that the agrarian fight has had in the history of Mexico, alluding to the role that people like Emiliano Zapata, a symbol of the Mexican Revolution, once played.

Meanwhile the Government of Mexico Delegate in Baja California, Jesús Alejandro Ruiz Uribe, emphasized that land regularization creates the possibility of migrant families taking root and providing a valuable contribution to society through work and effort.

“I predict that with the great coordination by Governor Marina del Pilar, the consistency of the ideals of always putting above all the needs of people, at the end of Governor Marina del Pilar’s six-year term these land issues will be a thing of the past in Baja California. We are making great progress and the Governor is completely supported by the Federal Government,” he said.

At this event the following people were present: the head of the Institute for Real Estate Development and Housing of Baja California, Saúl Osnaya López; President Representative of the Congress of Baja California, Rocío Adame Muñoz; mayor of Playas de Rosarito, Hilda Araceli Brown Figueredo; head of RAN in Baja California, Plutarco García Jiménez; Secretary of the Country and Food Security, Juan Meléndrez Espinoza; Secretary of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territory Redesign, Arturo Espinoza Jaramillo, and the President of the Foundational Council of San Quintin, Jesús Alberto López Peralta.

The Governor also participated in the "Hacia una Recuperación con Valores" (Towards a Recovery with Values) forum alongside senator José Narro Céspedes, where they shared the essential ideas to develop federal and local legislation that will allow for a proper rehabilitation of drug users.

Marina del Pilar emphasized that her administration has dealt with issues regarding addiction such as healthcare, which has allowed them to create actions to promote the wellbeing of all people, and has helped the strategies to make peace a reality in Baja Californian streets.
