Marina del Pilar celebrates arrival of the Mexican Army’s Special Forces in Baja California

The governor has gathered military forces in order to fight against crime in the state

Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar received more than 300 members of the Mexican Army’s Special Forces that have arrived in Baja California to strengthen Baja Californians’ safety. She also acknowledged the government of Mexico for all the support they have given in the least amount of time possible, reaffirming their willingness to keep working collectively with federal forces, as well as organizations that are looking to keep Mexico safe such as the National Guard, the Secretariat of National Defense, and the Secretariat of the Navy.

The governor reiterated that there exists direct dialogue between the head of Mexico's Secretariat of Citizen Security and Protection, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, and the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López, who have been working diligently at Security Council meetings alongside all the security institutions operating in Baja Californian territory.

In addition, Ávila Olmeda pointed out that these military officials will be added to the security operations that will take place in Baja California. This will strengthen results in order to continue rebuilding peace in the state. She also thanked the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador who has once again shown his commitment with Baja Californians.
