She met with the General Director of the Federal Electricity Commission

Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda met with Manuel Bartlett Díaz, General Director of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), in Mexico City in order to strengthen the electricity supply for Baja Californian homes, strengthen coordination links between Baja California and CFE, as well as adding the state to the energy policy that is being promoted by Mexican President, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

In the meeting, very specific issues regarding the energy future of the state were discussed, especially the possibility of developing transcendent projects for the transformation of Baja California. This is taking into account that energy is vital to development, not to mention the possibility of strengthening the links between the government of Mexico regarding this matter.

On her social media accounts, Marina del Pilar expressed that her administration is working continuously and permanently to ensure electricity for the entire state which is why permanent dialogue with CFE is essential. This is why, Ávila Olmeda thanked Bartlett Díaz for being open and willing to continue promoting Baja Californian development.

Among the issues discussed, there are the state’s connection to the national electric system, as well as current conditions that assure that there is enough energy for families, enterprises, and the rest of the economic activities keeping Baja California as a leader state nationwide. This is especially so when it comes to its dynamism, growth, and job creation, as recently analyzed through studies comparing all of Mexico’s federal states.
