Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda announced the delivery of 130 property deeds for families of Lomas de la Esperanza neighborhood, who had been relocated after losing their homes due to landslides in Lomas del Rubí.
This function was carried out through the Estate and Home Development Institute (INDIVI) where the state governor emphasized that they are guaranteeing the right to have a home while fulfilling the demands of the victims, who hadn’t received any positive responses to their demands in past administrations.
Ávila Olmeda stated that the delivery was made thanks to Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and his accomplished goal of bringing new homes to families who had lost their properties.
The governor highlighted the life-changing work that has been carried out by both the Baja Californian and Mexican governments through CONAVI and claimed that the agreements will continue to be fulfilled between both parties in order to bring judicial certainty to families through property deeds.
Meanwhile, the head of INDIVI, Saúl Osnaya López emphasized that besides coordination with the federation, there was an interinstitutional commitment in between state agencies to guarantee the properties of 130 families so that they can start a new stage of their lives with certainty and security regarding their properties.
For their part, those benefited thanked the administration for giving them and their families an opportunity to have a home, especially because it is now ensured for future generations.
