Tijuana’s Mariscos Walter distinguishes itself due to the flavor of its “Mc Klein” taco: Tacos With Muchachos

A “bichi” broth was also tried here

Tacos With Muchachos visits several different taquerias from all over Baja California. On this segment, Scott Koenig, along with his muchachos or guests, tries different dishes every episode at a restaurant or food stand and then gives his opinion about them.

On this occasion, Francico "Paco" Pérez, owner of “Aquí es Texcoco” was the guest who, along with Scott, went to Mariscos Walter, a restaurant in Tijuana which has a lot of dishes with sea-related proteins. One of its best-known dishes is the Mc Klein Taco, made with tuna fin.

Tuna fin is not a usual ingredient at seafood restaurants, however, Walter has made it a key element for its taco, which also has smoked marlin served on a fried tortilla. One can also add whichever sauce one desires such as serrano pepper, habanero, or bird’s beak sauce. This protein has a very jelly-like texture, but the flavor delighted both Francisco and Scott.

Lastly, they tried a “bichi” broth. This word alludes to something that is naked or without clothes, which is why this broth only has cabbage, onion, and the seafood flavor without any protein. With this broth, the visit to this taqueria ended splendidly.
