This Saturday, May 7, the 43rd anniversary of the Paseo Ciclista Rosarito-Ensenada (Rosarito-Ensenada Cyclist Promenade) will take place. More than 5,000 cyclists of all categories will tour around 50 miles in one of Mexico’s longest highways.
The Tourism and Convention Committee of Playas de Rosarito (COTUCO) invites you to be a part of this cycling promenade, which has occurred since 1979. It is not a competition, but a family outing. It takes place twice a year, one in May and one in September, where one can explore the peculiar and beautiful coastal and rural landscapes of Baja California.
It should be noted that if you want to participate, the online enrollment is now closed, so you will only be able to do it physically at the different points of sale located in Ensenada, Rosarito, Tijuana, Mexicali, and Tecate (these are shown on the Instagram post down below). You will also be able to sign up on Saturday, May 7, the day of the event from 7 AM to 9:30 PM.
The point of departure will be in Playas de Rosarito at Rosarito Beach Hotel at 10 AM through Carretera Libre #1, with its finish line being CEARTE, located in Ensenada. It is estimated that the first cyclists will be able to finish the promenade between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM.
When arriving at the finish line, you can stay to enjoy some live music and the gastronomy of Baja California. Contestants will get a medal and can even ask for a massage service.
