Head of the Secretariat of Education, Gerardo Solís Benavides revealed that the Program of Supplies and Maintenance of Educational Environment Improvement (PIMMEE) equips and provides schools so that they can carry out their operational reintegration so that utilities such as electricity, water, among others are in optimal conditions.
Though the back-to-school period started on February 28, 2022, classrooms are still being equipped so that children and teenagers are completely integrated. So far, 3,134 schools have been benefited with this program.
Regarding this, Luis Miguel Buenrostro Martínez, Subsecretary of Planning and Administration, representing the agency’s head, stated that the secretary himself has repeated the importance of going back to school and schools’ operational reintegration. It has been a state policy by Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda to bring quality scholarly services to all students in Baja California.
Educational centers are able to acquire supplies, such as stationery, didactic materials, cleaning items, air conditioning equipment refurbishments, tools, and construction materials. They can also get services such as renting computer and photocopy equipment, video surveillance and alarms, minor building reparations, waterproofing, among others.
Basic education level schools such as kindergarten, primary, secondary, and USAER Centers are supported by the allocation of resources that are carried out by the Educational Payroll and Operational Expenses Contribution Fund, also known as FONE.
