Marina del Pilar announces start of operations of the first Covid-19 health clinic in Baja California

This new health unit, built with an investment of over 4,2 million pesos, will bring care to 50 patients

In this aforementioned space, Covid-19 patients will be tended to, strengthening the operating margin of health institutions in the state, especially in the city of Tijuana, which was the most affected area during the fourth wave of the pandemic.

To that effect, Secretary of Health of Baja California, José Adrián Medina Amarillas, notified that 4 million 255 thousand pesos were allocated to restore the facilities.

Health authorities stated that this space, located in the immediate vicinities of Colonia El Florido, has a capacity for 50 people. This will allow places like Tijuana’s General Hospital to be relieved of some of their patients.

Medina Amarillas said that patients brought to this unit will be patients close to being discharged or on the way to recovery. All necessary goods and supplies will be used and available to give appropriate care to all patients.
