Marina del Pilar will double financial aid for people with disabilities in Baja California

The federal and state government will coordinate to deliver 2 thousand 800 pesos every 2 months

The government of Baja California led by Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, joined the Mexican government’s social policy efforts, led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to achieve universal aid that is to be delivered to people with disabilities.

That is what the Governor stated in front of more than two hundred beneficiaries in the state’s capital, who all received from her the social aid managed by both levels of government.

She claimed that a total of 380 million pesos will be used for a series of actions and measures to favor this segment of the Baja Californian population. This includes assisting students with different intellectual, auditory, visual, mobility, and multiple disabilities, as well as those in the autism spectrum, with pedagogic strategies for all kinds of different disorders.

At the same time, wheelchairs will be delivered to all people with disabilities who require them, as well as didactic and specialized materials and tools for learning-teaching processes.

Baja California’s governor reiterated that, as part of the coordination between state and federal governments, financial, bimonthly aid of 2 thousand 800 pesos will be delivered to all people who have some sort of disability.

She reminded those present that an agreement has been recently made with Fundación Teletón to make visits and therapies more accessible at the center located in the municipality of Tijuana.

Together with Alejandro Ruiz Uribe, federal representative, Marina del Pilar stated that she understood the difficulties faced by people with disabilities and their families. That is why the main objective of this initiative is to work with love for those who need it the most so that they receive the resources they need.

“You are not alone. None of you are alone. You have the support of the federal government and the state government that will work in coordination and in a responsible manner so that the resources are delivered to those who need it the most,” claimed Marina del Pilar.
