Marina del Pilar vila Olmeda, the governor of Baja California, publicly launched the 'Zero Rate' order geared at Independent Artists and Cultural Promoters, reaffirming her commitment to promote the entertainment sector and improve communities state.

The announcement was made on Monday, December 27, at the State Center for the Arts in Mexicali and is intended at Baja California's artists and cultural promoters who work tirelessly to bring art and culture to the whole population, particularly children and young people.

The Decree in question exempts entertainment and public shows from taxes, allowing for the promotion of activities and the preservation of art and culture as a viable economic activity that produces jobs and well-being for state families.

Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda spoke at the ceremony about the significance of culture in strengthening the social fabric and harmony among Baja California communities, which would allow for the promotion of peace and the battle against violence, among other things.

For her part, Alma Delia Brego Ceballos, the Secretary of Culture of Baja California, emphasized the positive connection that the entity has with its artists and creators, as well as the support that the government would offer to art because of its role in forming identity.

Gilberto Corrales of the "Teatro del Incendio" Company, Daylin Garcia Ruvalcaba, President of the Binational Trade and Economic Development Commission, and Dunnia Montserrat Murillo, Deputy of the Baja California Congress, were all present for the announcement.
