With the arrival of the winter season, active instances of Coronavirus continue to rise in Baja California, with the population aged 20 to 39 years old accounting for the majority of the virus's infections.

The Ministry of Health announced during a press conference that there are 2,877 active cases of Covid-19 in Baja California, of which 288 correspond to people who are hospitalized, of whom more than 73 percent were not vaccinated, and 94 Baja Californians remain intubated due to the virus's severity, representing 96.8% of those who did not have the vaccine.

In 24 hours period, 431 new instances of Covid-19 and 18 deaths were recorded on the SILVER platform, according to Isesalud's state head of epidemiology, Oscar Efrén Zazueta Fierro, who emphasized the necessity of continuing to take precautions against a fatal virus.

Finally, he stated that 56 percent of the Covid hospitals in Baja, California, are occupied. He asked all individuals who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 to visit the different vaccination locations to avoid more severe virus cases, including human loss.
