Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, Governor of Baja California, participated in the ceremony of Incorporation to the "Rehabilitation and Inclusion Support Program for the Wellbeing of Children with Disabilities", organized by the Federal Government with the purpose of reiterating the principles of attention to vulnerable groups of the population, such as children and adolescents.

This announcement was made at the facilities of the Centro de Rehabilitación Infantil Teletón (CRIT) of Baja California, which is dedicated to support the treatment and rehabilitation of children with disabilities, allowing them to reach their full personal development.

In the presence of children and adolescents with disabilities, as well as their parents and guardians, the governor of Baja California reaffirmed her commitment to generate the necessary scenarios to improve the lives of all Baja Californians, in which minors and people with disabilities play a fundamental role among the priorities. Likewise, she considered that this is an example of collaboration between the public and private sectors to provide support to children, which at a national level will reach more than 20 thousand children of the Teleton Network.

During the event, representatives of the Secretariat of Welfare delivered close to 200 grants to receive rehabilitation services to improve their health, demonstrating the commitment of the administration of the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, to take care of those who need it most.

The event was attended by Rodrigo Abdala, Head of the Planning Unit of the Federal Welfare Secretariat, the Secretary of Welfare of Baja California, Netzahualcóyotl Jáuregui Santillán; the Director of CRIT in Baja California, Julio Paz, as well as the beneficiaries and their families, who showed their gratitude for being integrated into a support scheme that guarantees the proper rehabilitation of children.

It is worth noting that Jáuregui Santillán expressed the State Government's total disposition to ensure that the treatment is provided in an efficient manner, and expressed that one of the priorities of his administration is to ensure that the State actively participates in the health and wellbeing of all people.
